Once again, the wickedness of man manifested itself in Kenya. 147 souls. 70 injured, most critically. 4 gunmen. 1 captured. 5 other suspects arrested. Statistics and were age getting numb. Every single day one group or the other is displaying its brand of blood thirst. Even beings that it is their work to be evil have stepped back in shock at man’s diabolical works towards man! True! THE VERDICT OF AL-MUSTPHA

Hamza al-Mustapha was the Chief Security Officer of General Sani Abacha, Head of state of Nigeria from November 1993 to June 1998. After Abacha’s death he was arrested and tried for murder and attempted murder of a number of prominent Nigerians. On 30 January 2012, a Lagos High Court sitting at Igbosere convicted Major Hamza Al-Mustapha over the murder of Kudirat Abiola, the wife of the acclaimed winner of the June 12, 1993 Presidential election, Chief Moshood Abiola and he was sentenced to death by hanging by Justice Mojisola Dada but was discharged and acquitted of the crime by the Appeal court, Lagos division on Friday, July 12, 2013. WHY DO MEN BATTER??

I’m not asking the question because I want an answer and a lame duck one for that matter! I’m wondering with the lame duck answer in mind because we need to speak out about it. In my opinion it ranks as high as rape. Battery was once thought of as physical assault only towards an over whelming number of women. Now there are other facets that have become more defined; emotional, verbal, psychological and even spiritual battery have all emerged. This article will touch on the more common one; physical battery. Barely 48 hours ago, I heard a story that made my blood curl; it had all the makings of an over worked script. The whole story caught my attention because the woman involved had experienced all of the above forms of battery. How she survived is beyond me...
